David is a kind and empathetic therapist who provides a judgement free space for his clients to explore their thoughts,feelings, and behaviors. He treats all clients with respect, regardless of their background, culture, gender, or sexual orientation. David understands that each person is unique, and believes in meeting people where they are at and working with them to make the changes that they want to work toward.
David completed his masters in clinical-behavioral psychology at Eastern Michigan University. He is an experienced therapist with a strong foundation in evidence-based therapies, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Trauma-focused CBT. He specializes in working with adults, teens, and children.
David has been practicing for more than ten years working in community mental health and with nonprofits to provide services to sensitive populations, including: people newly diagnosed with HIV/AIDS, Adults and Teens court-ordered for anger management, Teens with histories of trauma, child survivors of sexual abuse, and survivors and perpetrators of domestic violence.
David uses empirically supported treatments that focus on mindfulness, coping skills, and living a life that is aligned with your values.
