Our Services

Our team offers the following services: individual therapy, psychological and neuropsychological assessment, and medication management. These services are available for: children, adolescents, teens, college students, adults, professionals, and families.

We are a person-centered practice, and tailor our evidence-based interventions to each patients' unique needs. A few of the more common methodologies we use are: Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization Therapy (EMDR), Mindfulness, and Psychodynamic approaches.

Dr. Adam Joy

Dr. Adam Joy, the founder, owner, and clinical director of Joy Family Center, is a 2013 graduate of the top-ranked Doctor of Psychology program at Pepperdine University's School of Education and Psychology. Dr. Joy has a strong commitment to involvement and betterment of the community. He has been an executive board member with the nonprofit Face Addiction Now's Washtenaw Chapter, and also is the President of Restoring Hope Collective which is oriented towards reducing barriers to recovery for parents with Substance Use Disorders. Additionally, Dr. Joy has become a partner for the Steely Brown Tour which is a project seeking to advocate for mens' mental health through outdoor experiences and building community. Finding a ways to reduce stigma, and help others embrace mental health is an important aspect of what Joy Family Center stands for.

Anyone in the State of Michigan can access our excellent team thanks to telehealth. If you'd like to come see us in person, we have 4 offices: Ann Arbor, East Lansing, West Bloomfield, and Macomb!

When you walk into any of our offices they are designed to feel like you're walking into comfortable, familiar place like you're visiting an old friend​. Our offices are intentionally designed to feel modern, warm, and anything but cold and clinical. We are always adding little touches like live plants, or fresh art work to keep things feeling updated and welcoming.
