Alison is a warm, collaborative therapist who takes a person centered approach to care. She believes that each individual’s story is unique and works to create a space where clients feel genuinely seen, understood, and supported without judgment.
She is a Limited Licensed Master Social Worker (LLMSW) and earned her Master of Social Work from the University of Michigan, specializing in Interpersonal Practice in Mental Health, Integrated Health, and Substance Use. Alison has experience working with children, adolescents, and adults, and has a strong foundation in play therapy and family centered work. She supports clients navigating anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationship challenges, and stress related to school, work, and family dynamics.
Prior to working in clinical settings, Alison worked with children and families through Big Brothers Big Sisters and Ypsilanti Community Schools, supporting youth from diverse and often underserved backgrounds. This experience continues to inform her approach, with an emphasis on meeting clients where they are and recognizing the impact of environment and access to resources.
Alison integrates evidence based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, and strengths based techniques, while tailoring her work to meet each client’s individual needs. She is especially passionate about helping clients build insight, feel more grounded, and develop practical tools they can use in their everyday lives

She believes meaningful change happens when clients feel safe enough to explore their experiences openly, and strives to create a supportive, comfortable environment where clients can move at their own pace and feel empowered in their growth.
