My approach to medication management is collaborative, compassionate, and patient-centered. I believe in meeting people where they are, helping them understand their symptoms, and working together to create realistic, meaningful treatment plans. I value a balanced approach that includes using resources that we have here at Joy Family Center such as therapy, lifestyle modifications, and medication when appropriate.

Because I was initially certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner, I’ve had the privilege of working with patients across the lifespan. This foundation gives me a broad, holistic perspective. I am comfortable working with a wide range of psychiatric populations, including individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma-related conditions, ADHD, mood disorders, and adjustment challenges. I also value supporting patients navigating significant life transitions, family stressors, and co-occurring medical concerns.

I have been a Nurse Practitioner for ten years. I completed my undergraduate education at Northern Michigan University and later earned my Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner certification from Saginaw Valley State University.

Originally from Haslett, Michigan, near East Lansing, I grew up in a large and lively family with five brothers and one sister. That experience shaped much of who I am today—community-oriented, adaptable, and comfortable in the midst of chaos. Now, as a parent to three wonderful children (ages 5, 4, and 1), life is just as full and meaningful. My greatest joy comes from spending time with my partner, McKenzie, and our kids. They are my purpose and the motivation behind everything I do.

Mental health has always been a core passion of mine, and I am grateful for the opportunity to bring that dedication to the Joy Family Center.
